Leigh Karchner
Photographer

Leigh has always been fascinated with photography. As a child even, she had a passion for nature and wildlife photography. Her favorites are sunsets and sunrises. You can never permanently preserve too much of the beauty that surrounds us on earth. Can we ever enjoy too many gorgeous sunsets from around the world?

As a child Leigh took photos of anything and everything with Her "Brownie" camera (black and whites of course). Her great Uncle was an avid camera buff and led and encouraged Leigh to experiment and explore, appreciate, and preserve her environment and surroundings through photography even as a small child. Photography has come a long way since then! Leigh explored 35mm, Instamatics, Poloroids and such her entire adult life but has now gone totally digital.....all for instant gratification for both her and her clients.

Many of Leigh's photos are captured at or near her home in the beautiful mountains of North and South Carolina. Others are from out in the western United States where the remainder of her passion for beauty lies. Her husband, Denny, is a Graphic Artist/Illustrator and Western artist and they compliment each other nicely for a lot of his work. She takes many of the images he currently uses to do western pencils and paint portraitures from. Someday, they hope to retire out west where Denny will draw and paint and Leigh will provide all the photo reference from which he will do his work on a full-time basis as well as her professional photography clients. Denny's art can be viewed on the Links page below.

Leigh's portfolio spans the last 8 plus years. She continues growing and expanding her photographic and artistic portfolio while branching more into portraitures, weddings, children, couple and families, photo manipulations, specialty imaging, photo resporation, web design and special effects projects.
